We had some downtime today between 0700 and 0800 UK Time. Apologies for this unplanned outage, but we were down the datacenter and decided to get some badly needed maintenance done. This aside, we have recently had a number of new servers join the network. I will update the staff, and faq sections once i have received everyone's details.

OMFG!!! Its a news update. Yes, were finally getting our act sorted with this website. We have finally finished "completing" the links on the menu, I will start adding interactive features and user accounts over the next few weeks and we might actually end up with a decent website *shock*. Anyone with any ideas for the website please post them to the #net forum.

Well, with the xmas season comming up, weve descided to give the website an overhall. Over the next few days all the old sections will come back up, starting with the "IRC Help / FAQ" section first. We will also be including new content, such as a .plan server and some other stuff.

Were currently working on a new hashnet.org site, please send any content suggestions to webmaster@hashnet.org. In the mean-time, please continue to use the forums which can be found here.

Its expansion time at HashNET, first off let me welcome Spirre onto the HashNET staff. He brings with him access to a server based in New York and one based in Stockholm, Sweden. The servers will be accessable at the following URLs

New York - irc.us.hashnet.org (64.243.118.66)
Stockholm - irc.se.hashnet.org (213.67.134.83)

Hopefully these servers are now fully operational, lets hope everything goes smoothly. If you cant resolve the DNS, just use the IPs for the meantime. They are in a testing status at the moment, feel free to connect to them, and hopefully we will end up keeping them as part of the network :)
